Too Many Things to Handle
Beleive it or not, this song came to me one cold October morning, at 7 oc’ock, while I was buying grapes from the kiosk outside London Bridge train station.
I had already bought my ticket to go to Gravesend in Kent where I had an interpreting job and I was juggling my bag, the morning paper, my purse and my ticket in both hands, plus the grapes in had picked for a snack. No wonder that when it came to paying for the grapes I found myself with no free hands to give the man his fare, so I jokingly said: I’ve got too many things to handle, when: BANG!!!

I don’t know how to say this, but the moment those words came out of my mouth I could hear a click, as if something clicked in the universe and resonated in my ear, so that from that moment on, all I could think about was: too many things to handle.
Luckyly I was alone in the compartment, so nobody could see me jumping up and down to the rhythm of the music, which I imagined sang by a young group, such as Steps.
